PASCUALA GUACHIAC Y GUACHIAC

I am Pascuala Guachiac y Guachiac. I am 30 years old and I am from the community of Xeabaj II, Santa Catarina Ixtahuacán, Solóla. I am a mother of 2 children. I am currently a Pixan weaver, where I have been working for 8 years and with my income, I support my children’s education and help my husband cover the daily expenses. I was able to study and graduate from Primary School Teaching but I did not look for work because I got married. By being part of Pixan I have been able to develop my skills as a weaver, and the workshops that I have received have helped me to improve and continue to learn.

Pixan is always supporting women in the communities but one of the most important things is that when you make a purchase you aren't supporting just one woman, you are supporting their entire families and providing them an extra income to be able to feed their kids and pay for their education.
