This burial mask was traditionally handcrafted the way the Mayans have done for thousands of years. These beautiful jade masks were placed in the tombs of kings to aid in their passage through the underworld. This specific replica mask is called the "Maya King of Tikal" and the original was buried with a Mayan King in 527AD.
